a large Elizabethan house in ↑Wiltshire, England, owned by the Marquess of Bath. It was built in the late 16th century. It is now open to the public and has a ↑safari park (= a park where people can drive round and see wild animals, such as lions) and gardens designed by ‘Capability’ Brown.
